The Brain Injury Peer Visitor Association® is run by an all volunteer team of brain injury survivors and caregivers. Their program is designed to offer hope, support, empathy, brain injury education to all types of brain injury survivors and their families and/or caregivers, including strokes. Peer visits are conducted by “someone who has been there and done that” in the hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, via the phone, via email, via facebook, and out in the community. All services provided are free. Their website is full of brain injury and stroke information, booklists, resource lists, survivor & caregiver stories, news articles, research articles, and much more.
